Damage & Claims Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2020

At Cabinets.deals, we take great care to properly package and protect your order before shipment. While we work with reliable freight carriers, damage or missing items may occasionally occur during transportation.

To ensure a smooth and timely resolution, please carefully follow the inspection and claim procedures below.

1. Delivery Inspection Requirements

Customers must inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery before signing the freight delivery receipt.

When your order arrives:

Step 1: Inspect the Shipment

Before signing, please:

  • Confirm the number of pallets and loose pieces received.
  • Inspect all cartons, pallets, and packaging for visible damage.
  • Check for signs of crushing, tearing, punctures, water damage, or missing packages.

Step 2: Document Any Visible Damage

If you notice any damage or shortages:

  • Clearly write the details on the delivery receipt before signing.
  • Take photos of the damaged packaging, pallets, labels, and products.
  • Keep a copy of the signed delivery receipt.

Step 3: Accept the Shipment

Do not refuse delivery.

Even if damage is visible, please accept the shipment and document the issues on the delivery receipt.

Refused shipments may result in additional freight charges and delays in receiving replacement items.

Step 4: Check All Packaging

Some components may be packaged in protected locations, including:

  • Trim pieces
  • Fillers
  • Toe kicks
  • Panels
  • Skins
  • Accessories

Please inspect underneath pallet layers and inside all cartons before reporting missing items.

Step 5: Keep All Packaging

Do not discard any packaging materials until your claim has been fully resolved.

Important Delivery Notice

By signing the freight delivery receipt without noting damage or shortages, you confirm that the shipment was received in acceptable condition.

Claims for visible freight damage that are not documented at delivery may be denied.

2. Reporting Damaged or Missing Items

All damage and shortage claims must be submitted within the required timeframe.

Visible Damage

Visible damage must be:

  • Noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery.
  • Reported to Cabinets.deals within 48 hours of delivery.
